So who am I, the person behind Front Row Motorcycles?
My name is Ricky Ross and I am originally from Dagenham in Essex where motorcycles run in the blood of the family. My father, Chris started as a YTS mechanic, my mother in after sales and many other members of the family getting their hands dirty on the forecourt, but cars are not for me. With an uncle as a GP warm up rider and another as a keen motocross rider the noise, smell and speed was addictive, the passion was born.
I joined the Army to become a technician. Joining the Royal Signals as a Mechanical Electrician was one of the very best things I have done, it gave me a very good grounding in mechanics and electrics from very small complex circuits to massive power distributing generators. After seven or eight year's service I wanted a bit of a change. I was lucky enough to pass the very tough selection course for the Royal Signals White Helmets Motorcycle Display Team. I joined them as a display rider and mechanic. During my time with the team I was involved in the building of a new fleet of Triumph Tiger T140's using the original plans, performing in the very last Royal Tournament and getting to ride everyday, what a way to finish my army career.
Once I had left the army I joined the motorcycle industry were I adapted to the modern motorcycle and spent my time problem solving for some very big players in the motorcycling world, it really was my dream job at the time. All of the work I was involved with was behind the sense with manufactures, importers and dealer. What it showed was that as the market grew the after sales for the customer suffered, so Front Row Motorcycles was born to readdress the balance.
I have been providing unparalleled quality of service and customer support for two years now. I have a very friendly and informative approach to my work which has lead in turn to a very happy and loyal customer base.
